Meet the Team!

Hey CCI, welcome to The Central Chat. We are excited to be reviving the historic school newspaper, The Clarion. The Clarion has been a part of Central’s tradition dating all the way back to the early 1900s. We have decided to put a modern spin on the newspaper and turn it into a school blog! We have exciting projects to share regarding the school, which you can expect to see on this page. This will be the “Central” place where all the school stories will be posted. We can’t wait for you to all see what we have been working on!
Now onto introducing our team of journalists/writers who will be working on this blog:
Mrs. Willfong
Mrs. Willfong is a teacher at Central and has been for three years now. She is involved in many extracurriculars such as Yearbook, Journalism Club, Jane Austen and Author’s Tea. Regarding the Journalism Club, her role will be to oversee the club and to help out in any way she can!
Aisha Ally
Aisha is a grade 11 student at Central since her freshman year. This year she is only involved in the Journalism club and her school team is Alpha. What she will be working on regarding this club is the Arts section which will have all the updates regarding Central’s Arts program.
Julia Quimio
Julia is a Senior and has been at Central since her freshman year. Julia is involved in many school extracurriculars such as Journalism Club, Journey to Hope, S.A.D.D., Innovation Club, Environmental Club, Jane Austen book club, Operation Christmas Child, Toasty Toes, and SLC. Her school team is Alpha. The things she will be working on regarding the Journalism club are Science and currents (astronomy and weather).
Judy (Tong) Jin
Judy is a grade 10 student who has been at Central for two months. In her first year here, she is involved in Journey 2 Hope, SLC, and Journalism. Her school team is Sigma. The section she will be working/focusing on regarding this club is the Entertainment section which shines light on school events that have to do with band, the school play, etc.
Kawthar Al Mostafa
Kawthar is a grade 11 student at Central since her freshman year. Kawthar is on the school team Delta! Some of the projects Kawthar will be working on regarding this club is the Sports section.
Gabrielle Oni
Gabrielle is a grade 12 student who has been at Central since her freshman year and is involved with many things concerning the school, such as SLC, track and field, Environmental club, journalism and as well as being the school-elected president. Her school team is Sigma! The projects Gabrielle will be working on regarding this club are the school and community events.
Justin Arandia
Justin is a grade 12 student at Central since freshman year and is involved in many clubs such as Cross Country, Environmental club and Art club. His school team is Kappa and regarding this club, Justin will be working on student life!
